UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10

Windows 7 is one of the best operating systems made by Microsoft. However, you may want to consider upgrading very soon. Mainstream support for Windows 7 ended in 2015, and extended support will end on January 14, 2020.

What Does This Mean?

Just like Windows XP and Vista, support for Windows 7 is ending. This means there will be no more security updates and no new software will be available for your machine. Updates to your antivirus software, browser, etc., may no longer work after a period of time. Without security updates, hackers will target Windows 7 users because any vulnerability they find will never be fixed by Microsoft.

If you’re using Windows 8 or 8.1 (a free upgrade for windows 8), Windows 10 might be a good option for you, too. Microsoft ended their mainstream support for it on January 9, 2018, and extended support will end on January 10, 2023.

Aside from the updates and support, Windows 10 is the most robust and user-friendly OS made by Microsoft to date. Most things you need to worry about are handled automatically, like drivers and updates. New software for Windows 10 is being released daily, and it has an elegant new Start menu to replace the Windows 8 Start screen.

Cool Features

Windows 10 comes with Cortana, which is a a voice control feature of Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge is the latest Microsoft web browser and offers loads of other useful features. Windows 10 may be something new to you, but we’re sure you will like the new look and new features once you start using it.
